Indywood Talent Hunt has completed yet another milestone by concluding it’s the virtual grand finale. Gearing up with the new standard, an biggest cultural fiesta, Indywood Talent Hunt, was conducted online from 11-12 December 2020. The event was telecasted live via zoom and Indywood Talent hunt Facebook page. Since its first event, ITH has been highly acclaimed for its unbiased cultivation of deserving talents and opening doors of opportunities to the Indian film industry.
There were nine events, which were divided into sub-junior, junior senior categories. Owing to the event’s reputed legacy, the number of participants showed a straight hike even during the pandemic situation. There were two rounds of competition, in which the first was a voting round which made an astonishing reach of about 2 million views on social media platforms. The finalists were decided after evaluating jury marks. The competition was tough, which resulted in the sharing of prizes in numerous categories by more than one participants. Mr and Miss. Indywood titles were awarded to Aarnav Nischal Boidi and Lavalina Sandeep Nair in the sub-junior category, Parthasarathy Manu and Navami Kunhiraman in the junior category and G. Govind Sreekar and Shredha Rajesh in the senior class, respectively. 63 winners were chosen from hundreds of youngsters who participated in various events. Overall championship was bagged by Reha Music and Dance Institute, while Gurukul Studios, Dubai, was selected as the overall championship runner-up.
Indywood Talent Hunt is a part of Project Indywood. This ambitious $10 billion project envisions to brand Indian movies globally and establish India as the venue for the world’s largest investor-friendly market.
At the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Sohan Roy, Founder of Project Indywood, quoted, “Indywood Talent Hunt was launched in 2015. Since then, its popularity has increased day after day. Through this unique platform, we have been able to identify many talented individuals who have made a mark for themselves in this Indian film industry. I am very happy that we are able to being such talented individuals to limelight and we are sure they will achieve big in the future.”
In 2019, when Indywood Talent Hunt went international, it had overwhelming participation of over 1 lakh individuals from the UAE and India. This year, owing to the COVID pandemic, the organizers decided to go online for its 2020 event. The competition categories included vocals and instrumental, Music, Art, Dance, Photography, and fashion & Social Media events.


The ITH has witnessed a record 20,000 grand finalist and achieved 215 placements in the entertainment industry in the last five years. Online voting and a YouTube Streaming Round were held from November 1 to 10. Finalists were shortlisted for the grand finale based on voting and judges’ evaluation.
